Clean Eating with Sauces

Can you eat “clean” and still have sauces?

That’s a great question! The answer depends on what’s in your sauces, what’s in your food & what else is going on in your strive-to-be-healthy lifestyle. But the answer can and should be “yes!”

Cooking with sauces can be done in several healthy ways. First, it’s important to choose a sauce with a clean-eating profile, one that is low in sugar, has a good fat-profile, isn’t loaded with salt and has a great flavor without having to douse your food.
Brushing your sauce on before cooking a piece of salmon, fish, shrimp, beef, chicken, tofu or other type of protein is a great way to infuse flavor while keeping your clean-eating goals.

Another healthy way to use sauces is to use them as a side dipping sauce. That way, you can control how much sauce you’re really using and impart as much or as little as you want.

Mindy’s Yummy Sauces was made with exactly these concepts in mind, as our Sesame, Sesame flavored sauce has zero trans fat, a low amount of sugar, and a delicious sesame flavor that Adds Delish To Your Dish™ on everything from fish, chicken, tofu, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, turkey, ribs, shrimp, beef, pork, salmon, vegetables, salads, coleslaw, baked potatoes, chips, pita bread, fattoush, lunchmeats, grilled sandwiches, and can also be used as a side dipping sauce for chicken nuggets, French fries, chips & more.

Designed with a taste that pairs well with so many food types, Mindy’s Yummy Sauces is the perfect condiment to your meals without sacrificing your hard work to stay fit & healthy. Finding sauces (or making your own) with as little refined sugars and processed ingredients as possible is definitely the goal, as too much sugar spikes your insulin only to crash later, leaving you feeling hungry, tired & sometimes irritable.

Sauces and foods with this in mind will help to enhance your meals, & keep your food interesting and tasting good. You can get the best of both worlds: clean eating, great sauces, a variety of choice & the ability to stay on track for your healthy lifestyle that you have worked hard to attain.

Oh…did we mention that our Sesame, Sesame sauce is vegan and gluten-free? Stay tuned for a future blog where we will investigate the importance of this.

  1. Your sauce is what I call a “smart” sauce. There are just too few in the market place. Thanks Mindy’s Yummy Sauces.
