Superhero movie Marvel’s Avengers surpasses nearly every record in cinema history this past weekend.
What an amazing feat for a movie, but what’s so special about this superhero movie that propelled its great success this past April weekend?
The biggest reason is credited to the absolute ingenuity of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, a post-Star Wars movie nerd who was a teen in the 1980s, He planned the production of a new movie genre comprised of movies that would all interconnect with one another in a non-linear fashion so that you, the movie-goer, could enjoy the individual movies (think Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, etc.) without needing to know how all these threads tied together. This is called transmedia story-telling.
That’s great news for those who enjoy superhero movies but don’t get the chance to get out often enough or for those who don’t have a good enough memory to remember all of the relationships between each movie’s characters.
Also, let’s be honest….who DOESN’T like a superhero? Don’t we all have secret fantasies of being a superstar in our own lives?
We’ve all had dreams of swooping in, only to be the one to save the day! In fact, if you think about it, taking on the superstar or a superhero role shows up in many ways for all of us “average” moms and dads.
Aren’t you the superstar when you pick up your kids from school with their favorite snack before a long, arduous softball practice?
And what about the dad who decides to coach his son’s soccer team? Or the teacher who gives his student an opportunity to earn extra credit that might just make the difference between getting an A or getting a B?
And aren’t you the superhero when your son wakes up with a miserable raging cold only to find a hot, homemade pot of chicken soup percolating on the stovetop just hours later?
Being a superhero in the kitchen can also be pretty simple: providing your family with a delicious meal with healthy food and great tasting sauces like Mindy’s Yummy Sauces is definitely a superstar move. Our sesame flavor pairs so well with every type of food so that you are the superhero in your own family. Your apron is your cape and Mindy’s Yummy Sauces is your secret weapon!
So, enjoy the movies, watch Avengers and secretly know that YOU are a superhero, flying around your own kitchen, armed with a sauce that Adds Delish to Your Dish™ and, hmmm…. maybe to your popcorn, too!

I’m an inspired superhero because I Made Chicken Soup, Coached Softball, Nursed sad tummies, protected and coveted the gift of family. Now the children are off to college and it’s time for a little me time. When I sit down with my salad, steak and fries, there is no more little hands to shoo away, and best of all, I have Mindy’s Yummy Sauce all to myself and I can savor the pouring of the sauce on every portion anticipating the delish about to happen. Every Hero gets their Gale in the end, and I got Mindy’s Yummy Sauce.
Thanks for the great feedback!
